Happy Mardi Gras!

FAT TUESDAY IS HERE!!!! Happy Mardi Gras my friends!!!!!!
We have had just an incredible Mardi Gras Week down here. The fun started Friday at about 4:15am when my cousins, including Katie at In The Pink, came in town! We made sure to immediately hit up all the best local food joints, did some shopping so they could stock up with kitchen with cajun food and ended the night with hot, boiled crawfish and all our family over at my house :)
We spent all day Saturday downtown. From Port of Call to Bourbon Street.... Pat O'Briens and Jackson Square.... caught a parade on Canal Street and ended our day watching street performers on the Riverwalk. For dinner? Homemade jambalaya and some highly needed Popeye's chicken!
Sunday was just as jam-packed. All day was spent on St. Charles Avenue watching parades and hanging out with friends for over 8 hours. Forecast predicted rain but it never came. Perfection!!
Monday was relaxed and we visited my family across the lake. It was nice to spend some relaxed time with my cousins before left this morning. Having them come in town for Mardi Gras was just amazing. Meant so much to Edward and I! We miss them so much already!!
And as for today? I am pooped!!! Staying home sweet home today. Need to recover for work which starts back up tomorrow. I'm resting and enjoying some King Cake with  my hubby :) The perfect end to the perfect Mardi Gras Week!
