{Wedding} Save The Dates
Happy Wedding Wednesday friends!!!! I am so happy that WW is back :) I've been missing my wedding splurges! So what do you I have for you today? Something very fun.... Save the dates!!! I absolutely love receiving "save the dates" and for many reasons. First, brides can be so creative with them. There are so many ways to present them: magnets, postcards, scratch-off cards, balloons, mints, match boxes, bookmarks and more! Secondly, it's the first thing you send to your guests. And it's the first thing your guests receive about the wedding that gets them so excited! Many times they contain pictures of the happy couple so they are a keepsake that can be treasured and displayed always. And lastly, they are fun for the bride to design/ put together!
What did I do?
I went with the postcard idea. The front of the card had our names, the wedding date and several of our favorite pictures from our engagement photo shoot. On the back we were able to include a sweet note to all of our guests, along with important information we wanted them to receive prior to the formal invitation, such as the wedding website! I loved them and so did my guests! Plus, because they were postcards, the stamps cost less! Overall I found that postcards are a more affordable option than others.
{I can't find where I stored my extras, but once I get my hand on one I'll definitely update this post with it!}
Another popular idea is magnets. Several of my friends did this and they are still on my fridge, even years later! They usually include a picture, which I obviously love :)
For postcards and magnets, unless you have a printing press in your house, you will most likely be using a company to help you with these. I recommend on-line websites for this. They are so easy take just a few steps. You get your proofs back almost instantly. And it seems like these vendors are always having incredible offers.
My favorite sites to use are:
1. Wedding Paper Divas {who I used!}
2. magnetStreet
3. minted
And of course....
4. ETSY!!!
Now let's take a look of some of my favorite Save The Dates :)
Already married or engaged? What did you do for Save The Dates? Let us know!!
